Hi there. I’m a Mormon in Minnesota, or put another way, a Latter-day Saint living in Lutheran-land.
Here I write about topics relating to being a Mormon, living in Minnesota, or both. When I write about “Mormon-stuff,” I typically try to address two major questions: 1) what is the experience of being a Mormon, i.e., what is it like? and 2) what do Mormons believe? The second question deserves some clarification. Some sites out there on the web tend to emphasize the old, the fringe, or the cultural points of what Mormons supposedly believe. My goal here is to point out the relevant topics and beliefs that give spiritual oxygen to normal, everyday Latter-day Saints.
While I’m not an official spokesperson for my church, I simply want to offer some glimpses into what happens in my LDS ward (congregation) and what tends to be important to LDS families here in Minnesota. Through my own posts, and those of fellow-Latter-day Saints on this site, I hope you’ll walk away feeling slightly more aware of what it means to be a Mormon in Minnesota. Thanks for visiting.
